Infura Now Supports Avalanche C-Chain
Access Avalanche C-Chain with the same reliability 400K+ devs have come to trust on the Infura platform. Learn about the benefits of building with Avalanche on Infura and follow our tutorial to connect to Avalanche seamlessly.
We are excited to announce that Infura now offers our developer community access to the Avalanche C-Chain with the same reliability they’ve come to trust on the Infura platform. This latest integration is another milestone that Infura can celebrate, as we work towards a multi-chain Web3 ecosystem that helps developers to build a decentralized future.
What is Avalanche?
Avalanche is an open, programmable smart contracts platform for decentralized applications, developed by Ava Labs. The Avalanche C-Chain is a Proof of Stake layer one blockchain that supports the creation and execution of EVM-compatible smart contracts using the Snowman Consensus Protocol . The network has incredibly fast throughput, with one-second transaction finality and low transaction fees. Developers can quickly test out how to deploy a smart contract on the Avalanche C-Chain using existing Ethereum tools like Remix and MetaMask.
Why build on Avalanche with Infura?
The benefits of building with Avalanche on Infura include:
- Flexibility: Avalanche can support multiple chain types that run in separate virtual machines, enabling developers to create more freely. The C-Chain supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and allows developers to deploy Solidity smart contracts and run their dapps on both Avalanche and Ethereum.
- Ease of Use: Ethereum developers can deploy a smart contract on the Avalanche C-Chain using existing Ethereum tools Remix and MetaMask.
- Improved Transactions: Avalanche can process approximately 4,500 transactions per second with low transaction fees.
- Decentralized Finance (DeFi): The Avalanche C-Chain is fully compatible with Ethereum assets, making it another attractive marketplace for Ethereum dapps to be deployed. Infura provides developers easy access through existing plans.
Right now, Infura is making the Avalanche C-Chain available to users through the Avalanche C-Chain Private Beta. Sign up to our private beta waitlist HERE.
