Celebrating Q1 2024 Milestones for DIN, the Decentralized Infrastructure Network

Here’s what the Decentralized Infrastructure Network team shipped this quarter: Blast L2 integration, Denver meetup findings, and network partner updates.

As we wrap up an exhilarating first quarter of 2024, the Decentralized Infrastructure Network (DIN) has hit significant milestones that underscore our commitment to building a robust, efficient, and community-driven decentralized RPC network. From technical integrations to community gatherings and strategic partnerships, our journey this quarter reflects both progress and promise. Here’s a closer look at our key achievements.

DIN Integration of Blast L2 Network

In our pursuit of scalability and efficiency, DIN proudly announces the successful integration of the Blast L2 network. Blast, created by the same talented team behind Blur, the popular NFT Marketplace, has an L2 ecosystem that earns users and contributors native yield in ETH, USDC, USDT, and DAI. Blast incorporates advanced features like auto-rebasing for its native stablecoin and direct Layer 1 staking yields, alongside a sustainable model for gas revenue sharing.

To access the network, DIN provides free endpoints:

We have also added Blast to all Infura accounts in order to leverage our API security endpoints, customer support SLAs, usage monitoring, and debugging.

Adding new networks and failovers for DIN Providers is a core value proposition for customers receiving higher reliability and connectivity to new ecosystems. We are leveraging the Blast go-live as a case study to test the addition of networks to MetaMask, DIN routing, DIN Payments, and repeatable templates for adding services for all DIN Providers. We aim to release a detailed case study and description of the technical DIN components for DIN in the next quarter.

The upcoming networks planned for routed connectivity through DIN include zkSync Era, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Mantle Network.

The upcoming failover networks for Infura include: Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche

DIN Meetup at ETHDenver 2024

The power of collaboration has always been at the heart of what we do. DIN Providers completed a two-day workshop with 20+ IRL attendees, 20+ Virtual attendees, and 18 DIN partners. During this event, we covered details on Sticky sessions with DIN Router, Onboarding acceptance criteria, DIN Registry Service Smart Contracts, Bounty templates, Marketplace economics, DIN payment services, and a new working group around high TPS and large-state blockchain networks.

As we test and combine these components into a comprehensive package, the DIN providers will continue collaborating on further permissionless components for DIN.

Announcement of DIN Partners

Expanding our ecosystem through strategic partnerships is crucial for our growth and the overall value we deliver to our users. This quarter, we were thrilled to welcome new partners into the DIN Provider family. These partnerships span a variety of sectors, reflecting the diverse applications and potentials of decentralized infrastructure. With these new alliances, we aim to bring more services, innovations, and value to our community, ensuring that DIN remains at the forefront of decentralized technology.

What’s next for the DIN team

As we reflect on these milestones, we are filled with gratitude for our community, partners, and the innovative spirit that drives the decentralized world. These accomplishments are not just markers of progress but stepping stones toward a more connected, efficient, and decentralized future. Stay tuned for what's next as we continue to build, innovate, and expand the possibilities of decentralized infrastructure. Learn more about DIN here.
