Building Operational Efficiency: DIN’s Q2 2024 Recap

Here’s what the Decentralized Infrastructure Network (DIN) team shipped in the second quarter of 2024, including Mantle L2 integration, EthBerlin Digital experience, EthCC Brussels talks, and NFT launches.

As we conclude an impactful second quarter of 2024, the Decentralized Infrastructure Network (DIN) celebrates significant achievements that highlight our dedication to advancing decentralized RPC and API technology. This quarter has been marked by new integrations, innovative digital experiences, and the expansion of our community through NFT initiatives. Here’s an in-depth look at our major accomplishments.

DIN Integration of Mantle Networks

Continuing our mission of enhancing scalability and performance, DIN proudly announces the successful integration of the Mantle L2 network!

Mantle, designed to optimize transaction speed and reduce costs, brings a robust and user-friendly ecosystem to our platform. This integration allows our users to enjoy seamless interactions with Mantle’s advanced features.

For Mantle’s monthly Builder Session, their devrel team interviewed our very own EG Galano to discuss his builder journey and DIN’s unique value proposition.

As with our previous integrations, Mantle has been added to all Infura accounts, ensuring API security, customer support SLAs, usage monitoring, and debugging capabilities. This integration not only broadens our service offerings but also exemplifies our commitment to providing reliable and scalable decentralized infrastructure.

DIN at EthBerlin: Digital Experience with Farcaster Frames

In line with our vision to enhance community engagement, DIN launched a unique digital experience at EthBerlin 2024 using Farcaster frames. This immersive experience allowed attendees to interact with decentralized infrastructure concepts in a dynamic and engaging way, showcasing the versatility and potential of DIN’s technology.

The EthBerlin event provided a platform for us to connect with developers, innovators, and blockchain enthusiasts, further solidifying our position in the decentralized community. The Farcaster frames were a highlight, demonstrating our ability to blend cutting-edge technology with user-friendly interfaces.

DIN NFT Creator Page on Phosphor

We also ventured into the world of digital art and collectibles by launching the DIN NFT creator page. The Phosphor NFT creator platform (a Consensys product) empowers artists and creators to mint, showcase, and trade their NFTs seamlessly launched on Linea and other networks.

If you’d like to follow the challenge, the contracts are live and there’s a full EthBerlin 2024 Digital Experience guide.

If you’d just like the claim of the DIN Farewell Goerli NFT through the Farcaster frame, the answer to the secret phrase is “live incognito”

For those who don’t have Warpcast, we created an open mint of the [Open Edition] DIN Farewell Goerli NFT in a slightly different color without the subsidized gas costs.

There are additional commemorative NFTs launched for DIN x BLAST and DIN x Mantle. These NFTs not only represent digital art but also symbolize the growth and innovation of the DIN ecosystem.

DIN at EthCC, Brussels

DIN was excited to be in Brussels this year for EthCC.

EG’s presentation at Linea Voyage Waypoint covered the core technical components and evolution of DIN. We shared the current federated phase features and how it intersects with showcasing the decentralization narrative of Consensys products. Our collaboration with Linea continues as we plan to launch our payments component for provider-to-provider net reconciliation as an L3 on Linea.

Clemens Wan spoke on a panel about democratizing the future of infrastructure at DePIN . DIN fits into the B2B DePIN narrative by building an economic incentive to earn with RPC providers’ under-utilized bare metal instances of networks. This supports decentralization by preventing centralized players from exclusively fulfilling the requests. is available.

A thoughtful recap and insights for the future of Ethereum from EthCC was published by our Consensys team.

Blast as a Case Study

This Blast L2 DIN case study showcases the collaboration of launching access to a network through routed transactions between DIN Providers. The DIN Components have continued to mature and enable optimized operating procedures for efficient onboarding of new networks.

TL;DR:

  • DIN Vision - Multi-chain Web3 access for all. Lower costs and higher reliability.
  • Blast Requirements - Highly available and subsidized API services for Blast ecosystem
  • DIN Components Enable Blast - DIN Router, Payments, and Watchers ensure timely responses to APIs and earning opportunities to the ecosystem
  • DIN Ecosystem - 50+ DIN Providers offer node hosting, status health monitoring, and active DIN component development
  • DIN Value to New Networks - DIN Provider marketplace has fair economic pricing, Additional GTM services: MetaMask Snap, Diligence Audits, Linea
  • DIN’s Roadmap - DIN is in the federated phase testing economic efficiencies with Consensys products. We are progressively decentralizing towards a sustainable collaborative model.
